Hadden Builders Lumber Yard...

A lumber yard plays a critical role in the home building process. It is where plans are drawn, materials and fixtures are purchased and inventory is kept before construction.

We own and operate our own lumber yard so we can provide those services, and do part of the construction indoors. Our AutoCad computer system provides accurate architectural plans, which can be easily modified to incorporate your ideas and meet your specific needs.

Our homes are all "panelized", which means the wall panels and roof trusses are built and pre-fit indoors in a temperature-controlled environment, then trucked to the site on the day they are needed. This keeps everything dry and out of the weather, minimizing squeaks and tight fit problems during construction and wasted materials after construction.

Panelizing also allows us to package all the materials, fixtures and hardware together, and price your entire home in advance. That enables you, the homeowner, to make adjustments to the plan, and compare the value of various options you're considering to their cost.

Operating our own lumber yard also saves us time - and saves you money - because there is virtually no waste when each home is completed. We buy a better grade of lumber than a typical lumber retailer, and only send the pieces we can use to the construction site. And, we cut the boards close to size before we deliver them. So, that extra dumpster of unused materials that is typically hauled away - that the homeowner buys - is less than a pickup truck full when one of our homes is finished.

Another way we save you money is by being good at what we do. Heartland maintains full-time, experienced carpenters and cement crews who know how to work efficiently, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with our subcontractors.

A detail person follows up on every Heartland home to make sure everything that can be done is done before you move in. That means minimal call backs.
